The Constitution was signed on September 17, 1787

Of the 70 delegates who were appointed to the Constitutional Convention, only 55 attended and even further only 39 signed.

John Dickinson did not sign the Constitution himself as he fell ill before signing day. so he had George Read sign for him.

When the Constitution was signed, the U.S. population was 4 million, it is currently above 340 million.

Philadelphia was the largest city in the U.S. at the time the Constitution was signed, with an estimated 40,000 residents.

George Washington and James Madison were the only presidents who signed the Constitution.

Rhode Island is the only state that that did NOT send delegates to the Constitutional Convention
